AL MANSOOR INSPECTS PHASE 2 OF SEEF SEWERAGE PROJECT

Sanitary Engineering Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Khalifa Al Mansoor visited Seef Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Network Project (Phase 2) to inspect work progress, accompanied by a number of engineers from the Ministry and the project contractor.

The project serves Block 436 and aims to connect 330 real estates to the sewerage network. The project will ensure the provision of a healthy environment in the area and will also encourage investment.

Work in the sewerage network comprises of extending 4.5km main sewerage lines and 5.3km sub-lines, constructing 478 main and sub inspection chambers, while the storm water drainage network comprises of extending 3.5 main connections and 2.5km sub-connections, constructing 114 inspection chambers and 2 pumping stations.

Al Mansoor explained that the project is now in its final stages; planned for completion in the second quarter of the present year. The Ministry directed the contractor to implement safety barriers and warning signs to isolate the excavation sites.


The BD2,890,000 project was awarded to Ahmed Mansoor Al A’Ali, while the consulting services have been assigned to Watson Khonji.
