KHALAF RECEIVES CHAIRMAN AND VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE SOUTHERN 

MUNICIPAL COUNCIL

HE the Minister of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office in the Ministry Chairman of the Southern Municipal Council Ahmed Al Ansari and Vice-Chairman of the Council Isa Al Dossari. The meeting was also attended by Roads Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Huda Fakhro and Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Director Eng. Asma Murad.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister commended the efforts extended by the Southern Municipal Council in attending to residents’ needs at the Southern Governorate; reiterating the Ministry’s keenness to constantly provide high quality services to the Bahraini people.

Both Mr. Al Ansari and Al Dossari presented a number of proposals to the Minister, including constructing a garden near Buhair Mosque in Block 935, planting grass pitch in front of the mosque, organizing and re-designing Al Door Beach, clearing up a number of areas at the Southern Governorate, increasing the budget allocated for dilapidated houses and amending the budget allocated for renovating works.

At the end of the meeting, Al Ansari and Al Dossari extended thanks to the Ministry for their constant collaboration with Municipal Councils and their representatives.
