WORKS MINISTRY ALTERS TRAFFIC DIRECTION ALONG YOUSIF AL SHIRAWI AVENUE IN ADLIYA

Acting Roads Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Eng. Kadhim Abdul Latif revealed that the Ministry has recently changed traffic direction along Yousif Al Shirawi Avenue and Road 3825 in Adliya into one way traffic from North to South and West to East consecutively. The change in traffic has been made in collaboration with the Traffic General Directorate based on traffic studies and surveys conducted by the Ministry in previous times; aiming to solve traffic congestions on the roads network in Adliya.

Abdul Latif explained that traffic signs indicating the new change have been installed. The new change in traffic will alleviate traffic congestion in the area, increase the capacity of the roads, reduce waiting time and increase the number of parking spaces.

The changes are considered to be stage 2 of the work, as the Ministry previously changed traffic directions on all roads in the block.
