WORKS MINISTRY COMPLETES THE PAVING OF DIRT ROADS IN BLOCK 711 AND REVAMPS AVENUE 23 IN TUBLI

Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Sayyed Bader Alawi revealed that the Ministry has completed the paving of dirt roads in Block 711, Road 1135 and the environs, and has also completed the revamp of Avenue 23 in Tubli.

According to Alawi, the Dirt Roads Program is part of the Government’s program aiming to improve infrastructure in the Kingdom, give priority to the paving of dirt roads in urban areas and create an integrated roads network in all areas in the Kingdom.

Works comprised of paving a total of 10km long roads; serving 821 residential units, in addition to removing old asphalt layers, levelling works, protecting existing services, implementing ground channels for present and future use, implementing a storm water drainage network in low areas, installing a new lighting network, paving works and signage.

The BD2,362,174  project was awarded to Sayyed Kadhim Al Dirazi Contracting.

As for the revamp of the 3.4km long Avenue 23 in Tubli, works comprised of re-constructing the avenue at a length of 650 meters, implementing storm water drainage channels, upgrading the sewerage network, protecting the existing services (electricity, water and telecommunications networks), installing light poles, constructing pavements on the side of the avenue, signage, creating pedestrian pathways, central reservation and installing a traffic signal.


The BD539,104 project was awarded to Al Wardi Contracting.
