CLUB MAINTENANCE PROJECT AWARDED

Huda Mirza revealed that the Ministry will soon commence the implementation of
phase 2 of Rashid Equestrian & Horse Race Club maintenance works.
Mirza explained that due
to the importance of Rashid Equestrian & Horse Race Club as a civilization
interface to the Kingdom of Bahrain and a facility that supports sports
activities, a plan has been put in place by the Ministry to revamp the club and
improve it both locally and internationally. Maintenance will be done over 3
phases.
The BD660,222 project was
recently awarded to Abdulla Hassan Al Dirazi & Sons. Phase 2 of the
maintenance works comprises of installing new floors at the platform and new
floors at the VIP entrance, maintaining the VIP, staff and visitors toilets,
painting roofs and walls at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd
floors, replacing rooftops and floors of floors 1,2 and 3, replacing 3rd
floor’s desk, cleaning sewers, and replacing the existing lighting with
energy-saving lighting system.
The Ministry last year
completed Phase 1 of maintenance works at the club, which included maintaining
Buildings 1 & 2, the parking lot and part of building No. 6.
Phase 3 of the project
will commence next year; comprising of maintaining Buildings 3, 4 and 5 as a
final phase aiming to enhance the efficiency of the facility.
