SATER: ‘5312 USERS FOR MOW’S ELECTRONIC SERVICES DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2015’
Information Technology Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Hisham Sater revealed that the number of users for the Ministry’s 10 electronic services during the first quarter of 2015 reached 5312. The services can be accessed through both the Ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh, and the eGovernment portal www.bahrain.bh.
According to Sater, March registered the highest number of users; with 1788 users, while February registered 1770 users and January 1753 users. The statistics also revealed that the Materials Testing Results Services targeted the highest number of users, after which came the Traffic Diversion Request eService, and then the Material/Product Assessment eService.
Sater added that the Ministry seeks to provide high quality services to citizens and residents by providing the eServices, which contributed tremendously to saving time and effort for both the users and the directorates concerned with each service.
Sater also explained that the ‘Fix to Go’ application has contributed to expediting response and decision making related to urgent cases, as it allowed citizens and residents to raise road related complaints, traffic signal service reports and sanitary complaints. Through the application, the Ministry seeks to enhance societal partnership and encourage everyone to contribute to maintaining public facilities for a better and more beautiful Bahrain. The number of users for the application during the first quarter of 2015 amounted to 169 users; with the roads reports targeting 147 reports.

‘The rise in the number of users for the eServices indicates the increasing awareness of the Bahraini society. The eServices allowed them to process governmental handlings with more ease and in less time. It has also strengthened communication with the Government,’ said Sater.
