FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS OVER AN AREA OF 9700M²

WORKS MINISTRY HANDS OVER THE Youth Hostels and the headquarters of BAHRAIN Athletics ASSOCIATION TO THE GENERAL ORGANIZATION FOR YOUTH & SPORTS

The General Organization for Youth & Sports is expected to soon inaugurate the Youth Hostels and Bahrain Athletics Association Headquarters Project in Sheikh Isa Sports City. The building was constructed over an area of 9700m² as part of Sh. Isa Sports City Project.

Facilities & Project Management Director at Goys Eng. Khalid Saleem Al Haj stated that the Special Projects Office of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning has recently handed over the project to the General organization for Youth & Sports. He also commended the collaboration between the Works Ministry and Goys and extended thanks to the Ministry’s team of engineers who followed-up the implementation of all phases involved in the project.

The Youth Hostels comprise of 2 storeys covering an area of 5000m², a sub-station, parking lot, 110 beds in 36 rooms including all health facilities, 2 suites equipped with health facilities, a small kitchen, a sitting room, large hall and reception area, TV hall, games room, sports hall, changing rooms with steam baths, a lecture room that accommodate 40 persons, a prayer room and a kitchen to serve indoor and outdoor cafeterias.

The administrative building of the project was dedicated to the Bahrain Athletics Association. It consists of a reception area, 7 offices of different sizes, 2 meeting rooms, a large sitting room, 2 supply rooms and 1 archive room. The building is equipped with a high speed WI-FI service and satellite TV.
