AL SALAH: ‘24% PROGRESS IN THE REVAMP OF RIFFA ROADS- BLOCK 912’
Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Raed Al Salah visited Block 912 in Riffa, where he inspected the revamp of roads in the block. The visit was also attended by Municipal Council member for the 7th Constituency Abdul Latif Sulaiman and a number of engineers from the Ministry.
The visit included a detailed presentation about the project, which comprises of implementing a storm water drainage system with water tanks for storm water, implementing ground channels for present and future use, asphalt and brick paving works, extending water network in coordination with the Electricity & Water Authority, re-constructing roads infrastructure by removing the old paving and reclamation layers, levelling works, lighting, providing safety requirements in coordination with the concerned service entities,  and re-constructing all roads and alleyways in the area at a length of 18km and at a cost of BD2,368,000.
24% progress has been achieved in the project so far, and work is expected to take 42 weeks to complete.
