ACHIEVES 70% PROGRESS IN THE PAVING OF DIRT ROADS IN HIDD BLOCK 112

& Urban Planning Eng. Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has achieved
70% progress in the paving of dirt roads in Hidd Block 112.
According
to Al Salah, the project will serve 306 residential units once completed. The Dirt
Roads Program, which is supported by HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin
Salman Al Khalifa, is part of the Government’s program aiming to improve
infrastructure in the Kingdom, give priority to the paving of dirt roads in
urban areas and create an integrated roads network in all areas in the Kingdom.
The program also contributes to reducing damage to locations affected by the
rainy season.
The
project aims for a paving percentage of 81.18% for all roads in the block. Works
comprise of paving a total of 9.943km long roads, paving and asphalting works,
constructing parking spaces for mosque and shop visitors along Road 1201, implementing
storm water drainage channels and ground channels for service use (Electricity,
water and telecommunication), implementing safety barriers along Hatem Al Taei
and Avenue 16 Interchange to organize traffic between the commercial mall in
the area and the main road, installing light poles and signage.

project was awarded to Abdul Aziz Al Sayyed Trade and Contracting Company.
