WORKS MINISTRY COMPLETES QURAYA SEWERAGE PROJECT BLOCK 551

Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Asma Murad revealed that the Ministry has completed the sewerage project in Quraya Block 551, which is part of the Government’s plan aiming to improve infrastructure at the Northern Governorate, provide a healthier environment to residents and connect Quraya Village to the main sewerage network.

Murad explained that the project comprises of extending 4.9km long main lines and 2.7km long sub-lines, connecting 250 houses to the network and constructing 2 pumping stations. The project aims to provide better sanitary services by constructing a state-of-the-art treatment plant whose capacity accommodates sewerage flows directed to it.

The BD1,486,605.000 project as awarded to Arad Contracting, while supervising implementation was assigned to the construction department at the Ministry’s Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Directorate.
