BUSINESS DEALS WORTH $500 MILLION CONCLUDED IN PREVIOUS MEP EDITIONS
Works, MUNICIPALITIES & URBAN PLANNING Minister Inaugurates 4TH ARABIAN MEP Expo

HE the Minister of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf inaugurated the fourth edition of the Arabian MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) Conference and Exhibition, which is held at the Bahrain International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6-8 April 2015.

Minister Khalaf stated that the MEP Conference & Exhibition has become one of the most successful and important conferences encouraging the construction, engineering and contracting sector. The conference highlights all the recent and innovative updates in the field, and also sheds light on the green technology and its uses; transforming buildings into environment-friendly green buildings.

  
Khalaf also added that the government is dedicating special attention and concern to the construction and urban development sector; targeting infrastructure and public and governmental facilities, especially green buildings. The various renewable energy applications ensure sustainability of government projects and maintain energy, natural and available resources.

‘The use of green buildings and sustainable building techniques reduces climate change effects, maintains economic and environmental balance and ensures a better and healthier environment for future generations,’ said Khalaf.

200 exhibitors from Bahrain, the region and around the globe took part in the event, which brought together professionals and experts from the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, in addition to mechanical and plumbing contractors, architects and designers as well as public utility providers and government agencies.


Business deals worth $500 million were also concluded during the last 3 editions of the show, which was attended by 10,000 visitors.
