WORKS MINISTER: ‘23 TENDERS AWARDED AND BIDS
INVITED FOR 26 OTHER TENDERS DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2015’

Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf revealed that
the Ministry awarded a total of 23 tenders worth BD13,319,670 during the first
quarter of 2015. The awarded projects aims to cope with the rapid urban growth
in the Kingdom of Bahrain, provide high quality services to citizens, achieve
sustainability and encourage investment in line with the national priorities.
The awarded tenders covered the roads,
sanitary and construction sectors. In the roads sector, the awarded tenders included
4 projects worth BD2,017,797, while in the sanitary sector 8 projects were
awarded at the cost of BD9,948,843. In the construction sector, 9 projects
worth BD1,217,782 were awarded, in addition to 2 more projects worth BD135,245.
As for the tenders for which bids were
invited during the first quarter of 2015, they amounted to 26 tenders worth
BD18,309,688; covering the roads, sanitary and construction sectors.
